js2-mode software package provides Emacs mode for editing Javascript programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install js2-mode
js2-mode is installed in your system.
Make ensure the js2-mode package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep js2-mode *
You will get with js2-mode package name, version, architecture and description in a table
